Pemba is a widely vegetated, secluded island with crystal clear water and white sand beaches situated 80 km northeast of Zanzibar.

The island also boosts an abundant marine life, making it a perfect destination for water sport lovers. From snorkeling, to scuba diving, and exploring the seaweed farms, the island offers a range of water sports and activities for tourists.

Alternatively, tourists can also go on a guided tour, and enjoy the fauna and flora of the widely unexplored island.

The main town, Chake Chake, has a ruined 18th- century fort with a museum. Offshore, Misali Island is home to the Fischer’s turaco, a colourful rare bird.
